Please be advised that our Emergency Alert System (EAS) ENDEC, responsible for relaying vital emergency information to the CoalNet network, will be temporarily offline for scheduled maintenance. This maintenance will involve the following:

• Rewiring of the system

• Upgrade of speakers

• Integration of a new alert source (NOAA Weather Radio)

As a result, during this maintenance period, the EAS ENDEC will not be operational and will be unavailable to transmit emergency alerts onto CoalNet. We anticipate the system will be restored to full functionality upon completion of the upgrades by early July to Late August.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the reliability and effectiveness of our emergency alert systems. We will provide updates as necessary.
